The People

The business is headed by Mr Frank Bradshaw and Mr Stephen Short with Mrs Jan Bradshaw as Sales Director (catering). Mrs Karen Short, is Company Secretary and oversees the financial administration of the business. The experience bought to the business by the above team is very wide ranging in terms of management skill, and knowledge of the fresh produce industry, with Frank Bradshaw and Stephen Short having more than 25 years experience between them, of direct purchasing from growers and suppliers worldwide.

Operations

The business is located on the St Johns Business Estate in Downham Market, Norfolk. The premises is centrally located with good road links. Cold storage and chilled distribution are provided to ensure maximum product control and freshness from field to customer with specialist cooling and handling used where the product dictates. The business has an audited and comprehensive product management system in place to ensure that food safety is not compromised. This includes HACCP, traceability, product specifications, raw material checks at intake, glass and smoking policies as well as policies on GM foods and nut products. All staff are food hygiene trained.

Information Technology

Accent Fresh is committed to an investment program in information technology in order to take full advantage of technological advances as they become available. This has helped to ensure maximum control in the supply chain from grower to end customer and to give maximum value to customers. Online ordering and e-commerce are all expected to be operational in the near future. Accent Fresh will continue to invest in technology if benefits for all can be foreseen
